About the comic

Basically, I have too many guys who I all love too much and want to shove into a narrative together. Consider that your TL;DR.

The seed for this story was planted roughly 5 years ago. I had gotten really attached to this one OC of mine (called Jake), so I kept designing alternate versions of him. At that point I had a decently sizeable cast and started playing around with a story involving all of them. It kept me entertained enough, and my attachment to these characters only grew.

The story morphed plenty during these five years, though some core aspects remained the same. A lot of the characters underwent significant changes in both personality and design and what originally started out as small variations of one OC turned into cast with diverse personalities, different traits and a lot of fun dynamics. I had a lot of fun coming up with interactions between them! But up until very recently, all of that solely remained in my head... I'd dropped the ball on making comics a long time ago. So the idea of actually starting was... very intimidating, to say the least.

It wasn't until a friend of mine made a webcomic of its own that I was inspired to make a couple of test pages, just for fun. Those test pages ended up much better than expected. And then I somehow finished 10 pages, made an entire site, and drafted an outline for the next few chapters of the story, plus a general sense of how it should end. Okay. I guess I'm doing this now?

So, here we are. I hope that I can bring even an ounce of the joy that these characters have brought me from me, onto the pages. I hope that I can make other people feel a smidge of the care I do for these little guys. They've been the light of my life for 5 years now. They deserve to have the spotlight shining on them.

About the author

Hi. This is the section where I ramble about myself. I'm Prism! I'm a queer autistic palindrome baby (born in 2002) and I've been drawing and writing stories as long as I could hold a pencil. It's the one consistent thing in my life, and I rarely grow tired of the creative process.

I did dabble in comics ever since I was a little kid, but dropped the ball on making anything super ambitious when my mental health took a massive hit in my teenagehood. I'm still recovering, but things have gotten a lot better already. And I can let myself pick things back up again.

Making this comic has been incredibly healing. It allowed me to have something I can chip away at while not needing to focus too much - at least the art process is like that (not the writing) - and it allowed me to finally put my little guys out there, for the rest of the world to see. My mental health and me being neurodivergent made it very difficult to keep up with a project for longer than a few days. But somehow, this comic got past that roadblock. I think it's because it's something I'm incredibly passionate about? Who knows.

Either way, I have a lot of interests. The main STEM-y ones being biology, astronomy, nuclear sciences, meteorology and geology. But I also do a lot of different art forms, like composing music, drawing (obviously), programming (web development, mainly) and I'm a rookie at video editing. I want to eventually start posting art discussion and storytime videos onto my youtube channel with the same name.

I think that's about all of it? This already ended up much longer than anticipated (I am a bit of a rambler). If there's anything else I can think of to put here, I probably will. Thanks for reading the entire thing I guess! Cya.
